Let’s Update The Most Anticipated Anime Of 2021 For Not Missing Out

Here are the picks of the anime fan community of their most anticipated anime of 2021. 2021 will be a year packed with plenty of titles!

With a new year comes new anime, these series are the top 10 most anticipated anime of 2021.

The Promised Neverland Season 2

The Promised Neverland may not have the large-scale action sequences of Attack on Titan or Black Clover, but this dark-fantasy/horror series is arguably one of the best anime in recent memory.

The second season premiered a couple of weeks ago on Funimation and Hulu, with the new episodes focusing on the children’s escape into the outside world.

Dr. STONE: STONE WARS

This Winter is shaping up to be one of the most anticipated anime winter 2021, with fantastic ongoing series, new shoes, and returning fan-favorites alike.

One of those fan-favorites is Dr Stone, which returned for its second season a fortnight ago. 3,700 years after a mysterious light turns every human on the planet into stone, genius boy Senku Ishigami emerges from his petrification into a “Stone World” and seeks to rebuild human civilization from the ground up.

My Hero Academia Season 5

Season 4 of My Hero Academia ended with a battle of epic proportions between Endeavor, the newly-established Number 1 hero, and an incredibly strong Nomu named Hood. In his first battle as the Number 1 hero, Endeavor was pushed to his limits and surpassed them. Season 5 is set to air in Spring 2021 and promises more high-intensity battles between the two hero classes at U.A., as well as Midoriya unraveling the meaning of his mysterious dream in the post-credit scene of the last episode

Horimiya

Horimiya is the shining light amongst the excessive flood of rehashed high school romances that Japan loves to print out. And now, this manga was adapted into an anime version.

Kyoko Hori is a bright and popular high school girl, contrasting with her classmate, the gloomy and apparently nerdy glasses-wearing boy Izumi Miyamura. Outside of school, Hori is a homebody who dresses down and takes care of the household and her younger brother Souta. She tries to keep this a secret from her classmates. One day when Souta returned home with a nosebleed, he was helped by someone sporting multiple earrings and tattoos as well as a punk-styled appearance. The person recognizes her and reveals himself to be Miyamura. The two agree to keep their real personas a secret from their schoolmates, but start relating to each other as friends and later as a couple.

Shaman King

Yeah! You don’t see it wrong, Shaman King is back, with a totally new appearance.

This version is the second adaptation of Hiroyuki Takei’s manga of the same name. The series was announced with a video released on June 11, 2020, and an update to the official website.

It will adapt the 35 volumes of the manga’s complete edition and will provide the canonical ending of the manga, which was originally released after the first adaptation of Shaman King from 2001 had already finished.

It is expected to be released in April 2021.

That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime 2

That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime returns after a little over a year and a half from when we last saw Rimuru and the gang! This adorable anime is packed with amazing action and world-building! Not to mention the protagonist is a simple slime that has very odd but powerful abilities that make for some wonderful moments. That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime consistently ramps up so it’ll be very interesting to see where Season 2 heads this year.

The Seven Deadly Sins: Dragon’s Judgement

From the recent development of last season, this is the continuation of captain Meliodas and Elizabeth’s journey. Not much was revealed in the first teaser trailer released by Netflix. The only thing that viewers could only discern was that Meliodas and Elizabeth’s 3,000-year reincarnation curse may finally be coming to an end. Fans also noted a grief-stricken Meliodas holding a blood-soaked Elizabeth, leading to much speculation about the circumstances that lead to this event. This may mean Season 4’s plot could involve mistrust and uncertainty as the characters begin to wonder who amongst them is truly a friend and who is an enemy.

World Trigger Season Two

The World Trigger anime returns after five years, and the Season 2 premiere makes it clear the show has already fixed all of Season 1’s problems. World Trigger’s anime had a very rough start. Season 1’s very odd pacing and low-quality animation makes it one of the least popular Shonen Jump adaptations in recent years. Very few series have ever recovered from such a season. Even good anime can sometimes get a bad continuation, One-Punch Man Season 2 perhaps being the most infamous example in recent years. Thankfully, World Trigger is an exception in this regard; after almost a five-year hiatus, the show now returns hugely improved in Season 2, both in terms of animation and storytelling.
